They’ll be Dahmer’s successors in Ryan Murphy’s ‘Monster’ Season 2 for Netflix – AP (Netflix)
The miniseries that became a phenomenon, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” wowed Netflix audiences last year. In it, we follow the horrors committed by the sinister serial killer masterfully played by Evan Peters. The success was such that Ryan Murphy decided to expand the story and turn it into a anthology series.
Thus, shortly after its premiere, it was announced that there would be two more seasons on the way. In this second season we will immerse ourselves in one of the most shocking cases of the end of the last century: the patricide of the Menéndez brothers. In 1989, in their luxurious mansion in Beverly Hills, California, Lyle and Erik Menéndez killed their parents.
While we don’t yet know the specifics of this new season, we do know that Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan will once again be in charge. The series will follow the original line and will be titled: ‘Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez’.
Thanks to platforms like TikTok, the case of the Menéndez brothers has once again captured public attention, generating considerable support for both men. This season, we can expect a full immersion into the events, followed by an in-depth analysis of the process faced by those in charge.

When is ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’ coming out?
During the 1990s, this case was widely reported in the media. The brothers’ defense argued that the murders were the result of years of sexual abuse by their father, José. However, the jury did not consider this argument as the main reason and concluded it the crimes have been committed to obtain the considerable fortune the marriage had amassed.
Ryan Murphy sets out to take a closer look at this mystery and perhaps shed some light on that night in the late 80’s. What really happened? What were the consequences?
Given the famous status of this case, its story has been covered before in other television shows. Even Murphy included it in his series ‘American Crime Story: The people vs. OJ Simpson’, as both trials occurred within a close period of time.
According to the streaming platform’s plans, the the new season will debut in 2024. There’s still some time to enjoy Murphy’s new installments, so as more details about this season are revealed, we’ll be collecting and sharing them.
If the wait seems endless, don’t hesitate to enjoy some of the best series of suspense and intrigue available on Netflix. They are sure to help pass the time as you anxiously await news from Murphy!
