I enjoyed watching this show, which follows a half-human, half-deer boy on a perilous adventure in a post-apocalyptic world, as he searches for a fresh start with a surly protector. I can’t wait to see how this story ends.

Jim Mickle, creator, showrunner, director and executive producer, said in a statement: “In many ways, it is exactly the story I imagined we would tell and in many ways it takes on a life of its own. Early on, I think you set out to tell these core pieces of Gus’ story and the big comic book pieces, but the beauty of the long-form storytelling and Gus’ 24-episode journey is that the characters themselves tell you what they have. want to be. The crew and cast bring so much depth and perspective into who the characters are and where they’re from and where they’re going.

Mickle continued teasing the final season by saying, “Season 3 is an arctic story with exciting new adventures and what we hope will be a satisfying conclusion to this epic tale. Gus will see a side of the world and of humanity that he didn’t see in season one or two.

The series is based on the comic by Jeff Lemirand this is the description of the story: “Ten years ago ‘The Great Crumble’ devastated the world and led to the mysterious appearance of hybrids: children born part human, part animal. I’m not sure if hybrids are the cause or as a result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them down. After a decade of living in the safety of his isolated forest home, a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd. Together they embark on an extraordinary adventure through what’s left of America in search of answers about Gus’ origins, Jepperd’s past, and the true meaning of home. But their history is filled with unexpected allies and enemies, and Gus quickly learns that the world is lush and dangerous out of the forest is more complex than he ever could have imagined.

In Season 2: A deadly new wave of sick bears rolls over, Gus and a band of fellow hybrids are held captive by General Abbot and the last of his men. Seeking to consolidate power by finding a cure, Abbot uses the children as fodder for the experiments of captive Dr. Aditya Singh, who is racing to save his infected wife Rani. To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, starting a dark journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s role in the events leading up to The Great Crumble. Outside the Preserve, Tommy Jepperd and Aimee Eden team up to free the hybrids, a partnership that will be tested as Jepperd’s secrets come to light. As revelations from the past threaten the possibility of redemption in the present, Gus and his newfound family find themselves on a collision course with Abbot and the forces of evil seeking to wipe them out once and for all.

Some new cast members have also been revealed for the third season with the addition of Rosalind Chao (Better things, Mulan), who plays Zhao, was promoted to series regular Amy Seimetz (No sudden moves, pet graveyard), who plays Birdie. Dear Gee (The expanse, the call of the wild) is launched as a regular series with Ayazhan Dalabayeva. Gee will play Siana and Dalabayeva will be Nuka.
