I know most of us know the history of the car by now, but Weird History has released a new video that does a great job of telling its story in under 15 minutes. The video came with the following notes:
It’s an iconic car, the DeLorean, made famous by its pivotal role in the Back to the Future films – but do you know the man behind the car? Do you know the story of John DeLorean?
DeLorean’s namesake, John DeLorean, lived such an intriguing life that he is now the subject of two major motion pictures. Framing John DeLorean, starring Alec Baldwin, was released in July 2019, a mix of documentary footage and reenactments of DeLorean’s remarkable journey. A month later came the arrival of Driven, starring Jason Sudeikis and Lee Pace, detailing DeLorean’s exhaustive – if questionable – quest to make an innovative and ethical sports car.
