In one of the last promotional spots for the film, we see Star Lord/Peter Quill drop an atomic bomb on Nebula in a moment of great stress. The question arises, was it intentional? The answer isn’t that precise, however, one fan has reached out to Gunn himself on social media to get down to the nitty-gritty of the story.

You can only get one in a PG 13 movie. That said, it wasn’t planned – I told Chris to add it on set and it made the moment more fun, so we continued.

There you go folks, the F-Bomb is legal and we’re going to see “some” of the Ravagers. Honestly, with Guardians possibly disbanding after this movie, Stallone’s group looks like what I’d like to see in a series. We have already glimpsed it in another promo.

Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in US theaters on May 5.
