“I’m a busy guy and that’s interesting. They asked me before and about the schedule which was never very realistic. But this time I had a window,” he told her. “To be honest, my daughter Indigo, you may be the show’s biggest fan of all time. Really love the show. So when the opportunity presented itself, I basically had to ask his permission, because there’s the world of the father and all these things that the father does, and there’s also the world of Indigo. And I was like, ‘Okay, can I play in your world for a while?’ And once he got it, he was very, very excited.”
OR child prodigy Alum loved that Mantis’ costume had a “real presence” on stage. “I really thought he was impressive and cool and looked like something I could dominate the stage with because that’s all you get,” Lou continued. “As artists, you’re used to interacting with audiences and having their facial expressions and doing that kind of thing. With that, you are totally dependent on the stage presence of the costume you are wearing.

However, the Mantis suit was a bit difficult to make. “First of all, you’re soaked in the end. Literally,” she admitted. “They put a dry suit underneath you. I was like, really? Do we need this cape? You could have wrung out a gallon of sweat after the show.”
Lou revealed that he has decided to do the masked singer to face a new challenge. “As with many of the roles I play, I’m always trying to challenge myself. I always try to do something different. It fits right into that,” Lou said. Hollywood life. “Once you understand the concept and own it and make it organic, it becomes kind of a different platform where you try to figure out how to get better performance. It felt like a live performance. It looked like a stage show. The level of production is truly impressive.
