Jensen Ackles and Danneel Ackles sign First Look deal on Amazon

Supernatural AND The boys actor Jensen Ackles and his wife, an actress Daniel Ackles (A tree hill), are taking their production company, Chaos Machine, to Amazon for a first TV deal. The pair previously had a similar deal with Warner Bros. TV. It was reported in October 2022 that they had extended their deal with WBTV for another two years, but have now exited the deal for Amazon.

According to Variety, an individual familiar with the situation, the Ackles and WBTV have parted ways on good terms, and any projects Chaos Machine had in development with their now former studio home remain in the works. The WBTV deal was a production deal only, while the Amazon deal was for both acting and production.

The new deal marks an extension of Jensen’s relationship with Amazon, as he previously starred in the third season of the streamer’s hit series The boys as Boy Soldier.

They said of the partnership:

The Ackles formed Chaos Machine in 2020. Most recently, the company produced The CW series The Winchesterswhich serves as a prequel to the hit drama series Supernatural, in which Jensen starred during the show’s 15 seasons. He also serves as narrator in The Winchesterswhich is currently airing its first season.
