Crossbows, stabs and kicks Aaron Taylor-Johnson filled Sony Marvel’s first trailer Kraven the Hunterwhich dropped during Sony’s CinemaCon presentation tonight.
The beginning of Sony’s expansion of the SpiderTaylor-Johnson prefaced the teaser via video by saying, “Is it going to be rated R? Hell yeah, it’s rated R.”
Kraven, part of the Marvel characters from Sony Pictures, is one of the most famous and infamous anti-heroes. He has faced Venom and Black Panther, among others, and is one of Spider-Man’s most famous and dangerous enemies.

The harassment begins with Kraven taking on Australian mercenaries, stabbing them in the neck and biting off their noses. He’s a straight up Marvel anti-hero. Russell Crowe plays his father and teaches him to respect the world around him, and there’s a shot of him with a young Kraven sensing the spirit of a dead cow. “We’re predators,” Crowe tells the boy in voiceover.
He once played Kraven’s brother, Chameleon The White Lotus’ Fred Hechinger tells him, “You’re just a guy chasing a trophy.”
A voice says, “There is an animal in each of us.”
There is a photo of Kraven in a luxury office behind the desk with a crossbow as his victim enters. Ariana DeBose, who plays calypso, tells Kraven, “You’re freakin’ crazy!”
Rhino also makes a brief appearance in the footage: “Don’t you want to know why they call me The Rhino?” as his arm changes.
Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing, with the screenplay written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk.
Sony responded on the first weekend in October Kraven the Hunterthe framework that the poison Franchise turned into a profitable launch platform – October 6.
