Ryan Garcia Challenges Devin Haney to a Fight After Gervonta Davis Bout (Exclusive)

ryan garcia he is so confident in his next fight against Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, he’s looking forward to his next fight. The boxer, who has more than 9 million Instagram followers, spoke to HollywoodLife.com in an EXCLUSIVE interview ahead of the highly anticipated fight to tackle her next focus, mental health and social media. When it comes to who he plans to meet in the ring next, Ryan screamed Devin Haney, telling HL: “I think Devin Haney is a great fighter. I’ve fought him so many times in the amateurs, and I think it’s time.”

Ryan continued: “I tell people I choose to fight better. I have chosen to do it now and intend to be a man of my word. I think Devin Haney is the next great boxer after Tank Davis… I will fight back and go after Devin Haney”. The fight between Garcia and Davis has been called the “biggest fight of the year” and the “fight to save boxing”, and the two certainly played out the drama when they vowed to “break each other’s jaws” halfway through the final weigh-in.

“I just know I won’t lose,” Ryan told HL confidently. His presence on social media has earned him huge popularity and even an ambassadorship for Dior, but it has also helped him discover the importance of speaking out about his struggle with mental health. “I have seen some people I know close to me take their own lives and things like this happen all over the world, you see so many people suffering from the downside of social media that it hurts people, people suffer. And if you could give them hope and your experiences, maybe that will give someone a shortcut to the peace I’ve found,” she said. “I’ve been through fire, I’ve been through mental warfare, and I’ve come back a stronger, more empathetic person. with the people around me. And I love everyone right now because you don’t know what someone is going through at first sight. And it sure has given my heart a greater understanding of everyone else.

Ryan continued: “I always want to be an advocate for mental health and show that it is as bad as a broken arm or a sprained ankle. We have to face it and be kind to each other and spread the love.”

The currently undefeated fighter added that he “will never let go of control of the world [him]and will “always choose to speak up” and not allow a “stereotype” to control him. “I know what’s in my heart. I’m a good guy and I rock. And this. I’ll kick your ass, come to me, he talks about me all you want. I’m a pretty boy, an Instagram fighter. I am serving what I should be serving. I know what’s right and I do it, I take responsibility and I’m strong. I’ll show you I’m tough when I’m there.

Ryan Garcia will face Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis on Saturday, April 22 at 8pm ET. The card will air live on DAZN PPV in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand live from the T. Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
