Star Trek: Picard Season 3 brought the USS Enterprise-D back to life in the ninth episode of the series, titled “Vox,” and dammit… it was amazing! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get a little emotional watching the original crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation step onto the deck of the ship for the first time in years. The season of Picard it was so damn awesome! I don’t want it to end, but I know it will!

Having grown up watching The next generationthis season of Picard especially was very special to me, and seeing Picard (Patrick Stewart), William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troy (Marina Sirti), Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), worf (Michael Dorn), Data (Brent Spiner) and Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) back on the ship made me so happy. The ship has been to the Fleet Museum, which houses all the important ships of Starfleet’s past, Geordi has revealed that he has rebuilt the USS Enterprise-D and that she is ready to go back to action!
Geordi revealed that Starfleet recovered the saucer section of the Enterprise-D from Veridian III following the Prime Directive, to prevent it from affecting worlds in the system. Geordi restored the rest of the Enterprise-D using parts from other ships, and even restored the Enterprise-D’s original computer voice.
Wil Wheaton was not part of this series, but as a consolation prize he was able to host special event videos for the series called The Ready Room. In this most recent episode “Celebrating Frontier Day,” Wheaton got to tour the rebuilt Enterprise-D set to see it for himself with Star Trek: The Next Generationthe legendary graph of Michael Okuda.
Check out the video below which also offers a lot of information and details on the ship’s design and more.
