Screaming star Melissa Barrara has signed on to star in the recently announced Universal Monster film Radio Silence. THE Radio silence the directing team consists of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin AND Tyler Gillettewho will direct the film, with Chad Villella producing.

It seems like this creative team at Scream are having so much fun working together that they’ll continue to do so and jump right into their next project together. This new project will go into development after they finish Scream VII.
The untitled film is “in the vein of recent Studio hits like The Invisible Man and Renfield.” It is explained that it will offer “a unique take on legendary monster lore and represent a fresh and new direction in how we celebrate these classic characters.”
The screenplay for the film was written by Stephen Shields, with revisions by Guy Busick. There are still no details on what the film will involve or which monster the story will focus on, and it’s hard to even guess. But, with Barrera in the lead role, maybe Bride of Frankenstein? I could see her in that role!
