EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has learned that Oscar-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese will appear at CinemaCon this year to accept the Legend of Cinema Award. The ceremony will take place during a lunchtime call with Scorsese following Paramount Pictures’ presentation on Thursday morning, April 27.
This is very timely as Scorsese will have the world premiere of his Apple Original Studios and Paramount title in mid-May Killer of the Flower of the Moon at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday 20 May at the Grand Théâtre Lumière.
We heard that lunch at CinemaCon will be a retrospective of Scorsese’s career. It won’t be surprising if we take a look Killer of the Flower Moon.
Based on David Grann’s bestseller and written for the screen by Eric Roth and Scorsese. Killer of the Flower Moon Set in 1920s Oklahoma, it depicts the serial killing of members of the oil-rich Osage Nation, a series of brutal crimes that became known as the “Reign of Terror.”
