First look at James Gunn’s CREATURE COMMANDOS DC series and voice cast revealed

The image above gives us our first look at the characters in James GunnDC’s upcoming animated series Commandos creature, which is coming to Max. The team consists of monsters and superheroes who fight the Nazis during the Second World War. The voice cast for these characters has also been announced!

The cast includes Sean Gunn as Weasel and GI Robot, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma like the bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Alan Tudyk like Doctor Phosphorus, David Port as Eric Frankenstein, with Steve Agee reprising his role as John Economos from Pacifier.

In the series, the Creature Commandos work under the supervision of Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). It was previously explained that the project’s story is so big that the only way it could be told is through animation because it would be too expensive to make for live-action. But it was previously revealed that many of these characters will also “play live-action roles later in the DCU,” so that’ll be interesting to see!

Gunn previously said of the series: “Commandos creature is based on the great team of DC. What we’re doing with the DCU is the animation is tied directly into the live action. Television, movies, and games all intertwine in the same universe. We will be casting actors who will be able to play characters in this as well as other things, some of which we have already cast. I wrote all seven episodes of the show.

This will be the first project released under DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn e Peter Safran. It will be a fun show to watch!
