Rachel Weisz talks whether she will return for CONSTANTINE 2

If Warner Bros. and DC Studios decide to leave the director Francis Lawrence AND Keanu Reeves follow them up Constantinethere’s a character from the first film that fans would love to see return as well. Rachel Weisz she played twin characters Angela Dodson and Isabel Dodson in the original film, and it would be great to see the actress return to reprise her role as the surviving character, Angela.

During a recent interview with CB, Weisz was asked about the possibility of returning to the franchise, but rightfully no one reached out and asked if she would like to return. She explained:

“No, nobody told me anything. Those twins in Constantine have never appeared on screen at the same time. his dead sister. But no, I haven’t heard of it.”

Now, just because she hasn’t been asked to come back doesn’t mean she won’t. The movie doesn’t even have an official green light at the moment! It was officially nice to go at one point but then after James Gunn AND Peter Safran took over the DC Studios everything was thrown into chaos. Now, Reeves isn’t as sure about the project as he once was, saying:

“I think they’re trying to figure out what to do with it. I hope I can reprise the role of John Constantine, but that remains to be seen. Yes. But I hope so. I hope so.”

Speaking about wanting to make this long-awaited sequel, Keeves said:

“I don’t know if it was an unfinished business, but it was definitely a role that I loved. And I thought Francis Lawrence, the director, did such an amazing job. I loved playing that character and I really enjoyed the movie. I was as, [in a Oliver Twist voice] “Can I have some more?” I kept asking almost every year. I’d be like, ‘Can I please?’ and they said, ‘No, no!'”

hopefully, Constantine 2 it actually ends up being made and Weisz will be back. Meanwhile, Weisz will play the twins again in Amazon Studios’ upcoming series Dead players.
