Star Wars: Return of the Jedi it was the first Star Wars movies I watched on the big screen as a kid and saw it at a drive-in movie theater. The memory of that experience is engraved in my memory and it was my first truly epic cinematic experience.

Well, it was recently announced at Star Wars Celebration Return of the Jedi will be back in theaters for its 40th anniversary! May 25th marks the 40th anniversary of the last film in the original Star Wars trilogy, but the film hits theaters later this month on April 28th!
We also have a cool poster to share with you created by the artist Matthew Fergusonwho said in a statement:
“I am so happy and grateful to be able to work on these films again, even more to have the freedom to continue what I started with Empire. For that poster, a cold mechanical feel completely takes over the whole composition. But Return of the Jedi is definitely a triumph for Luke and the Rebels so I wanted the warmer colors back in the art hence pivoting towards green with red accents The artwork should tell a story so for me it just had It makes sense to have those two characters write it. Will Luke be transformed? Will Vader overcome the darkness? It’s about the attraction between good and evil.”

Today, fans who attending Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 were the first to know that the beloved sixth installment in the Skywalker saga, Return of the Jedi, is returning to theaters – its first official release in 26 years. United States, UK and other regions for a limited time, welcoming a whole new generation of fans to enjoy a full cinematic presentation of the iconic film for the very first time. Same as 40th Anniversary Screenings of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in 2020, a striking new poster has been created to commemorate the theatrical return of Return of the Jedi, also by artist Matt Ferguson,” StarWars.com shared today.
