Universal has adapted the best-selling novel LORE into a feature film

Universal has announced that they are adapting Alexandra Bracken’s film lore in a feature film, with You love Pascal (Spiderman footage) is attached to produce the project. Joe Splinter AND Anna Waterhouse they are set to adapt the film script.

The story is described as Hunger games meets Greek mythology, follows Lore Perseous whose family was murdered as part of the Agon, a divine hunt that occurs every seven years as punishment for a past rebellion by nine Greek gods, who are forced to walk the earth as mortals and be hunted. After years in hiding, Lore must decide whether to return to the Agon to avenge the death of his family with the help of a childhood friend he believed dead and Athena, one of the last original deities.

Bracken will serve as executive producer. The author’s other novel The darkest minds was adapted by 20th Century Fox as a young adult film starring Amandla Stenberg and Harris Dickinson. His next book, an Arthurian-inspired contemporary fantasy titled Silver in the bone, will be released on April 4th. She is represented by CAA and Writers House.
