Romance between John Cena and Dua Lipa? The trailer for ‘Barbie’ suggests it

The live action film ‘Barbie’ will hit theaters on July 21, 2023 and a new trailer was released this week, offering a more detailed look at Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in Barbieland, inside the main characters as the most iconic dolls by Mattel, the famous toy brand. The dazzling pink universe of the most famous doll on the planet, has a broad gaze together with other actors, among which will appear the actor and former WWE wrestler, John Cena.

Together with the new trailer of the film, the posters of many other characters were released, among which the singer stands out. Dua Lipa, which many expected to see and find out which character is introduced to the pink world of Barbie. The artist presented her character on Instagram with the description “This Barbie is a mermaid”which has caught the attention of fans, as she wears a blue hair look and is speculated to be in a relationship with John Cena’s character.

Other new characters were also introduced to the film, including ‘The Bridgertons’ actress Nicola Coughlan as diplomat Barbie, Issa Rae as President Barbie, and Emmas Mackey as a Nobel Prize-winning physics Barbie. In the real world, the film features Helen Mirren as America Ferrera and Will Ferrell as her mother, and John Cena’s name appears at one point in the trailer.

John Cena could be a newt in the film

Though he went unnoticed by many in the trailer, John Cena has been revealed to have joined the cast of the movie ‘Barbie’. Cena, known for his work on films like “Fast and the Furious,” is the production’s latest signing live action version of the doll.

His name appears in a roster of actors at one point in the trailer, and now fans are eager to see his performance on the big screen. With Dua Lipa also as Barbie Mermaid it is speculated that Cena is her boyfriendas reported The sun, the actor plays a merman with love interest for the singer.
