Domhnall Gleeson plays Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore in Apple’s Echo Valley

Tony Award nominee Domhnall Gleeson joins the cast of Apple Original Films echo valley, a new dramatic feature film and original screenplay by Brad Ingelsby, starring Academy Award winner Julianne Moore and multi-Emmy Award nominee Sydney Sweeney. Produced by Apple Studios and produced by Scott Free Films and The Walsh Company, the film is directed by BAFTA-winning director Michael Pearce.

In the picture, Moore plays the role of “Kate Garretson”, who is shaken by a personal tragedy. Kate spends her days tending and training horses at Echo Valley Farm, a 22-acre remote scenic location in southeastern Pennsylvania. Late one night, her wayward daughter “Claire” (played by Sweeney) arrives on her doorstep, terrified, trembling and covered in someone else’s blood. From this simple premise, Echo Valley becomes a heartbreaking thriller about how far a mother will go to save her child. Gleeson joins the cast as a local criminal who invades Kate’s life and disrupts her peaceful existence with secrets about her family.

The film is produced by Ridley Scott of Scott Free and Michael Pruss, Ingelsby, with Kevin Walsh producing for The Walsh Company as part of its multi-year Apple TV+ production deal. Pruss and Ingelsby developed the script together. The film is produced by Scott Greenberg, Scott Free’s Rebecca Feuer and Nicole Jordan-Webber. Erika Olde and Sam Roseme will also serve as executive producers for Black Bicycle Entertainment. Tanja Tawadjoh will co-produce.

The film is then Ingelsby’s fourth collaboration with Scott Free Out of the oven, american woman and last our friend. This is also the third collaboration for Walsh and Ingelsby, who have worked together before american woman And our friend.

Gleeson is back in the game, having recently received critical acclaim for the FX Limited series the patient, where he starred alongside Steve Carell. In addition, he will be next in the highly anticipated HBO series Plumber in the White House where he plays John Dean. The series also stars Woody Harrelson and will premiere next month.

He is represented by Paradigm and The Agency.
