From the very beginning of her career, Anne Hathaway has been one of the favorite actresses of the audience, loved by many thanks to her lead character in ‘The Princess Diaries’ who has haunted her till the present days of her career. Due to her beauty, she has always been regarded as one of the most beautiful faces in the film industry, and has been desired to be seen as a princess and even a doll. This wish could be fulfilled in live action of ‘Barbie’where she was a favorite option before Margot Robbie was cast.

‘Barbie’ starring Ryan Goslyng as Ken, will be released in July 2023 in international theaters. The actress in charge of embodying the Mattel’s most iconic doll It’s Margot Robbie, who we’ll only see as Barbie, and despite being stunningly beautiful, she was the company’s third choice. Previously, there were two equally talented actresses on the list, but for various reasons they were excluded from the project.

Among the names of what could be Barbie, there is also that of the protagonist of ‘The devil wears fashion’. Anne Hathaway would become Barbie in 2017being the second option to play the character, the truth is that the loaves never materialized due to a production delay by Sony, and therefore the project was put on hold for a few years.

Amy Schumer and Anne Hathaway, were favorites for ‘Barbie’ character

Already with Warner Bros. with the rights to make the live action, Margot Robbie was the chosen one, the 32-year-old actress has stuck with the role, though she may as well have been written out of the project before. Well, remember that, in 2016, Sony confirmed that Amy Schumer could be the protagonist of the ‘Barbie’ project.

Schumer was also dropped from the project, even though she was the first choice to play the doll. At first it was said that it was due to the Hollywood celebrity’s scheduling problems, other projects would not allow him to record smoothly, but, after a while, it was discovered that the real reason was the creative differences with the producer , since both had visions about the plot, as revealed by the actress herself for The Hollywood Reporter.

In Anne Hathaway’s case, if you’re looking for the live-action cast of “Barbie,” her name appears in the list, even though the tape information has somehow been classified.
