This documentary, which comes from the director Brandon Salisbury dive in and explore Romero’s ambitious undoing Resident Evil movie. The document aims to “immerse the audience in a cinematic horror aesthetic”.
The film will pay homage to Romero’s style and to the game itself Resident Evil by George A. Romero. It also takes place in a mansion that will remember Resident Evilis Spencer Mansion, and will be shot to mimic Romero’s cinematic style.
The teaser is edited using clips from Romero Night of the Living Dead and the classic game from Capcom. It also features voice clips of interviews with those involved with Romero’s film. The final documentary will also include archival footage and “unearthed documents” relating to the unproduced project.
Romero’s original script was leaked online and remained relatively close to the source material. It would have been really cool to see Romero actually make it. Unfortunately, Capcom didn’t bother with the script due to its violent content, which is just ridiculous.
