The film is set years after “the polar ice caps have melted and sea levels have risen, and the story” centers on a group of survivors at sea looking for a new home. Their prayers are answered with the discovery of a habitable city, that is, until they encounter a new nightmare who lives just below the water’s surface.
So, it looks like fun! New Line is obviously very happy with Cronin’s The Rise of the Evil Dead movies and want to stay in business with him. The director got his big break in 2019 with a film titled The hole in the groundwhich was a great, creepy little horror movie.
