STAR TREK: STARFLEET ACADEMY series gets green light from Paramount+

Paramount+ is officially moving forward with its new one Star Trek series Star Trek: Starfleet Academya project that was announced to be in development last year.

The series will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. The series will introduce us to “a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they’ll discover what it takes to become a Starfleet officer as they navigate burgeoning friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.

I was actually quite excited about the concept of this series when it was first announced, so I’m happy to see it’s actually moving forward! The series comes from Alex Kurtzmann’s Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment and CBS Studios. The first episode of the series was written by Gaia Violaand will begin production in 2024.

This will make for a great series! Star Trek is killing it with their shows right now, and I imagine this will be as good as the stuff that is currently in development for the franchise.
