Disney+ recently dropped the latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 titled “The Pirate” and once again, we have a winner! I particularly enjoyed Bo Katan (Katee Sackhoff) story arc this season. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it sure is getting incredibly exciting and I’ve been so happy with her journey and where it has taken her to this point.

She was one of my favorite characters in Rebels, so to see her continue to grow and her journey continue like this has been very satisfying. It’s crazy because I actually found myself getting excited about where her story has taken her.
Seeing the Mitosaurus, sharing that information with the Gunsmith, and now having the Gunsmith set her on the path to travel both worlds so she can unite all Mandalorian tribes to retake Mandalore is just one of the greatest things ever!
I guess this won’t be an easy mission for her, but it will probably be much easier for her when she tames and rides the Mitosaurus she saw! That time is coming and it will be epic! Star Wars fans will go crazy! It has to happen!
He is about to reach his full potential and in the process, at some point, he may have to fight Din Djarin (Peter Pascal) for Darksaber, and that would certainly create an interesting dynamic between the two characters.
Then there’s the fact that a tribe of Mandalorians broke Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) out of the rebels, and is now free to roam the universe. Unless the shadows of the Empire made it look like the Mandalorians had popped it. It will be great to see how this story continues to unfold!
I also just wanted to point out a huge cameo from Rebels in the new episode! I’m sure you didn’t miss it, but I just had to mention it!
The episode features the return of New Republic pilot Carson Teva, and at one point he enters a cellar talking to a large member of the Lasat species. It turns out that the character he talks to is none other than Garazeb Orrelios, aka Zeb, from Rebels!
This is the first time we’ve seen it in its live-action form, and it was pretty awesome! The credits confirm that it is indeed Zeb Steve Blum once again giving voice to the character. I have no doubt this won’t be the last time we see this character as I believe he will appear in the next Ahsoka series.
Aksoka will see the return of several Rebels characters including Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Chopper will also be included in the series. So it makes sense that Zeb will be a part of that too.
Anyway, The Mandalorian Season 3 has been so awesome so far! It didn’t disappoint and it’s great to see The Mandalorian now has a place it can call home. Now it’s up to Bo Katan to bring them together!
