Some new photos have emerged from Fast X thanks to Empire and two of them highlight two of the big stars joining the franchise including Jason MomoaIt is Dante Reyes, the son of the slain drug lord Quick fiveAND Brie Larsonit’s Tess.

Larson also offered some new details about her character by confirming that Tess is the daughter of Kurt Russellit’s Mr. Nobody. He made fun of his character by saying:

“Tess is Mr. Nobody’s daughter. She’s technically from the Agency, but in a way she’s kind of a bridge. She doesn’t agree with where the Agency is going now that her father is gone. He believes in the legacy his father created, which is to be with Dom and be with the Toretto family, and he’s fighting for it Dom knows he has a strong mind and he definitely respects the fact that he went out of his way to talk to him and wants to build trust What he’s asking Tess is proof. Like, if it’s an impossible task and she can pull it off, then it’s family for life.

Mr. Nobody is a secret agent who appeared in Fast and furious 7, The fate of the furious, F9 and was quoted in Hobbs & Shaw. In F9 flashbacks we learned that he helped Han fake Han’s death, but his story arc remained quite open.

In the film, Jason Momoa’s character is poised for an epic explosive revenge due to how Vin DieselDom has wronged him in the past which ties into Fast 5. She is on a mission to destroy Dom by destroying his family.

Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast & Furious saga, launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most legendary and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same cast and characters as when it began.

Over the course of many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outwitted, unnerved and defeated every foe in their path. Now they face the deadliest adversary they have ever faced: a terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past, fueled by a blood feud, and who is determined to tear this family apart and destroy everything – and everyone – that Dom loves, forever. . .

In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took down nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and beheaded his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa) witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years hatching a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s revenge.

The film was directed by Louis Letterier (Clash of the titans, The Incredible Hulk), who has previously spoken of returning the franchise to its roots, saying:

“What I wanted to do about this, because it’s very much my style, was ground it more in reality. I wanted — no pun intended — to land it on Earth. They went into space in issue nine, and I was like, ‘okay, I’m gone to space, there’s no way I can get past it.’ But what I can do is do things we’ve basically never done before, like roll a one-ton bomb, a real one-ton metal ball through the streets of Rome, and hope we don’t destroy the Colosseum.”

Michelle Rodriguez he also teased a jaw-dropping ending that will “really, really” surprise fans of the franchise. Fast X it also stars returning cast members Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michael Rooker, Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, John CenaAND Scott Eastwood.

Some of the other new cast members include Alan Ritchson (Reach) as Aimes, the new head of the Agency who doesn’t have the same passion for the Dom crew as his predecessor, Mr. Nobody; Daniela Melchior (The suicide squad) as a Brazilian street racer with a strong connection to Dom’s past; AND Rita Moreno like Abuelita Toretto from Dom and Mia.

The film opens in theaters on May 19.
