‘The Bachelor’ Final Recap: Zach makes his final decision

The bachelor ending started with Zach Shallcross to his last two wives, kaity biggar AND Gabi Elnicki. Both women were questioning things after their week in the fantasy suite. Gabi worried that Zach would regret sleeping with her in the fantasy suite, since he initially wanted a “no sex” rule. Katy worried that Zach hadn’t used the “A” word to her yet, fearing that he wouldn’t want a future with her if he hadn’t already used the word “love”.

Zach Shallcross and Ariel Frenkel meet again

Before we get to the episode, let’s talk with Ariel Frankel, which was removed after the fantasy suites. She praised Zach for putting her at ease during the experience, but admitted her breakup didn’t really hit her until she was in the car on the way home. Sure, Ariel was on the same page as Zach about the “no sex” rule, but she said she wanted them to discuss it as a couple beforehand. Also, she didn’t find out that Zach broke his rule about her until she saw the episode. She said she was really hurt when she found out on TV that Zach ended up getting intimate with Gabi, then shared it with Kaity but not her. “I was very disappointed with the way the week went,” Ariel said.

Ariel had the chance to come face to face with Zach in the live show. She told Zach that she was upset because she didn’t know what was going on during fantasy suite week. She noted that she took the time to tell her when the “no sex” rule changed, even after she removed it. Zach admitted that he really regrets how he handled things with Ariel and regrets setting the parameters that he did. However, in the end, she Ariel did not want to reduce their relationship to this situation. She fondly remembered their time together and was able to accept her apology.

Gabi and Kaity meet Zach’s family

In the pre-recorded episode, Zach is reunited with his family in Thailand. Before introducing Gabi and Kaity to his parents, he admitted he doesn’t have a clear path forward. Gabi woke up first and she wanted to talk to Zach about the past week before taking the next step to meet her family.

During the conversation, Zach managed to reassure Gabi that their intimacy didn’t make him feel like a “failure.” He told her that he had feelings of love in his heart for her. “She felt what I was feeling. She calmed me down,” Gabi said. “She made me feel so much better about where I am and why I am here.” After the day with Zach’s family, Gabi told Zach that she had a crush on him.

Then it was Kaity’s turn. Kaity started the day feeling pretty good about her connection with Zach, but he also knew that he had been intimate with Kaity and knew there was a chance Zach was falling for both of them. Kaity got emotional talking to Zach’s mom and sisters about her feelings about her and how she would feel if things didn’t work out. She felt comfortable with her family and could be a part of it, mainly because she didn’t have a traditional family or traditional upbringing. She Kaity also told Zach’s father that she was “very much in love” with her son. This conversation was especially important since Kaity didn’t have a stable father figure while growing up. After the successful day, her Kaity also told Zach that she loved him for the first time.

Completion dates of Gabi and Kaity

Going into the final dates of the season, Zach was “still torn” about his decision. Kaity had her first date. It was another amazing day and she reaffirmed to Zach how much she was in love with him. However, at the end of the night, her Kaity still had some doubts that Zach was telling Gabi the same things she was telling her. “It scares me because I don’t know what’s going to happen,” she admitted.

Gabi went to her second date feeling like she was in a great place. However, she began to have second thoughts as the day wore on after Zach admitted he was still “torn” and had a “tough decision” to make. She was excited and shocked, not knowing where she was. On the date night portion of the date, Gabi told Zach how scared she was that he would be so indecisive.

“It’s weird to me because my heart gets pulled in two places,” Zach shared. “What feels good to me is accepting it and seizing every moment I can. For a life decision as big as a commitment that is forever in, I’m doing what feels right to me to live it fully to the end. I want you to know how seriously I’m taking this. Zach was upset that he couldn’t give Gabi a clearer answer, and she still felt it in her head.

Who does Zach Shallcross choose?

Finally, it was time for Zach to make his decision. Gabi was the first to arrive at the rose ceremony, so it said on the wall. Even when she showed up, she could feel inside that she wasn’t chosen. While Zach was giving her speech, Gabi interrupted him and said she didn’t want to listen to him. She felt bound and just wanted to go home. She wished Zach well and assured him that Kaity was an amazing person, but she still felt heartbroken and unloved. Gabi and Zach were crying when she left.

Inside after the last rose, the two spoke on camera for the first time since their split. Gabi called out Zach for broadcasting their intimate moment with the world, and apologized from “the bottom of his heart” about him. Unfortunately, with the live segment, the conversation was cut short before they could complete it. The show must go on.

Now, there was only Kaity left for Zach, and he was ready to propose to his best friend. They both professed their love for each other before Zach got down on one knee and proposed. He gave Kaity a beautiful oval cut ring, which she accepted. when they both arrived after the last rose after the finale aired, they confirmed that they are still happy together.
