Kanye West is back on Instagram and he’s a new man, he claims. His first message proclaimed a newfound love for the Jewish people.
Why? Jonah Hill’s role in the 2012 film 21 Jump street was the obvious turning point.
“When I saw Jonah Hill at 21 Jump Street, I loved Jews again,” he wrote on the platform next to a poster for the 2012 film.
“No one should turn anger against one or two people into hatred against millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled an antisemite knowing that Jesus is a Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill, I love you.”
Over the past few months, West has engaged in abusive comments on social media and in interviews about his career. This led to lost business deals with several companies and his banishment from high society.
A particular flashpoint was his comment that he would go “death hoax 3 against Jewish people” via Twitter in October 2022.
Jonah Hill has not responded so far.
