With several Star Wars animated characters transitioning into live-action projects thanks to The Mandalorian, there are other characters fans are hoping to see get the live-action treatment. The upcoming Ahsoka the series will enjoy playing it. Dave Filoni teased recently:

“At the end of the day, I’ve been very happy with the ones that have gone further. There may or may not be more to Ahsoka, if that’s your thing. If you’re excited about this, I’m just saying that she may have a few more, which makes sense, by the way.As you know, I wrote it.

Now some fans are hoping to see Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Kanan Jarrus (aka Caleb Dune) make the leap from animation to live-action. But I think it’s fair to say that that most likely won’t happen considering his fate in Star Wars: Rebels. Also, Prinze Jr. is done with the character. During a recent interview with CB, he was asked about the possibility of Kanan making his live-action debut, and this was his response:

“Kanana’s story – at least for me – is over, I thought it ended beautifully. People were crying, I was very happy about it. I’m not saying this as an idiot: our goal was to make you cry. I didn’t even want to do the little voiceover in the latest Star Wars movie [The Rise of Skywalker]. I thought it was forced.”

I honestly see no reason to bring him back since his story arc has been closed. But, if the creative team wanted to, they could bring it back for flashback sequences. There is no reason to reopen it. But I’m curious to see what other Rebels characters make their way into the Ahsoka series.

What we know so far is that Rosario DawsonAshoka’s will be joined by Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), Grand Admiral Thrawn, and possibly Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Prinze Jr. went on to say:

“For me, every time I’m asked to do Kanan, it dilutes what was a beautiful ending… It’s this incredible and powerful moment. So for me, that story was told, and it’s over, and I wouldn’t have any interest in that. And it would be weird to play a different character in that universe, so I have no ambition to be in the Star Wars universe.”

Here it is! This pretty much answers that.
