Here is the full description of the documentary:

Brooke Shields, 80s icon and household name, was a child model before she rose to fame in Louis Malle’s controversial film Cute baby at age 12. With a series of provocative Calvin Klein jeans ads and starring roles in 80s teensploitation hits The Blue Lagoon AND Infinite loveShields’ early career was defined by a sexuality he could neither claim nor understand.

In this two-part documentary, director Lana Wilson (Miss American, Sundance Film Festival 2020) reveals Shields’ story through media appearances and archival footage, providing full context to the time Shields was coming of age in public. Wilson creates a space for an adult Shields to share her intelligence, vulnerability, and humanity as she reflects on her career and life, including her complex relationship with her mother, Teri, her marriage to Andre Agassi, and her struggles of her with motherhood. Honest and incisive, Pretty BabyBrooke Shields criticizes a toxic culture and power structure that perpetuates misogyny and is complicit in the sexualization and objectification of girls. But most of all, she tells the moving story of Brooke Shields as she discovers and embraces her own identity and agency.

It seems like such a touching and well done document, exploring important issues in our society. Check out the trailer below and see the two-part doc Pretty BabyBrooke Shields when it arrives on Hulu on April 3.
