THE Star Wars the show has been described as “a galactic take on Amblin’s classic 80s adult adventure films.” The story will follow four kids from a tiny planet, who end up lost in the Star Wars galaxy and set out on a journey to find their way home.

The film was presented to Lucasfilm as “Goonies In Star Wars“, which sounds like a fun concept and one that the Daniels could have a lot of fun with, especially with their storytelling and cinematic style. Watts also explained that while the series stars four children, “it’s not a children’s show.” he says that the adventure they find themselves in is intense and dark.

Judah Law stars in the series, and it has been reported that his character is “a teacher and the show is like a field trip in and out of the known Star Wars Universe.” The project is also set in the same universe at The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. You can read more about the series here.

There isn’t yet a list of directors that has been shared who are working on the series, but I’m sure all those names will be revealed at some point. Maybe at the next Star Wars Celebration.
