Elizabeth OlsenWanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch has had such a cool character arc throughout the MCU, starting with a post-credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldierwith his story completing The Avengers: Age of Ultronand taking us through the films to Marvel’s kickoff of Disney+ and one of the best MCU series, Wanda Vision. Then we really saw what Scarlet Witch could do Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madnesswhen Wanda turned into a bad boy and fought to get her parallel universe children back, whatever the cost.

This brings us to where we left off with the character, at the end of Multiverse of madness, where she was defeated by Strange, recoiling in the realization that she didn’t want to be the villain she had become. So where do we go from here with Wanda? What does her future entail? If Elizabeth Olsen has anything to say about it, she’ll be back and Wanda will have a redemptive storyline, maybe even with some added humor.

In a recent interview with ScreenRant at the SXSW film festival, Olsen explained her hopes for the character, saying:

“We can do anything with her now! I feel like we’ve done so much. Now we can really enjoy ourselves; I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. It’s often the emotion of a story and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption.

I really hope to see his character redeemed as well. It would be great to give her some peace and joy after everything she’s been through. She has lost her brother, her love, her children, all seemingly multiple times! I hope we can see her happy again.

Where would you like Wanda Maximoff to end up in future MCU stories?
