Maybe someday fans will get that ending in the form of a movie. During an interview with Sirius XM’s Jess Cagle, Levi opened up about it Spindle and how he pushed to get the movie off the ground. She also said that she thinks she convinced Warner Bros. to do it!

“Chuck fans are some of my favorite people in the world. They’ve supported my career for so long and, and, and they keep growing. I mean, we’ve been on every streaming platform by this point, and more and more the people find it with every iteration, and that’s all the more reason why I keep trying to make this damn Chuck movie and I think I’ve convinced the people at Warner Bros. to let me do it at one point or another.” I don’t know when that’s going to be. I mean, this is still a nascent stage, but yeah. But Chuck fans are delightful. and Shazam fans are delightful too. But there are a lot of people who aren’t, who are, who are more comic fans than, say, even fans of Zach or Shazam. And they can be very critical at times, you know, like all Chuck fans are fans, because they like to show, but then there are some purists within the comic book worlds who say, ‘well, you didn’t do the version of Shazam I wanted you to do, so I don’t like what…’ Th There’s only one version of Chuck”.

Thinking he’s gotten the studio to make it is far from a green light, but he’ll try to make it anyway. He went on to say:

“I’ve been trying to make a Chuck movie since before we even finished the show. I’ve seen the writing on the wall, I’ve seen a lot of streaming material starting to appear. I’ve seen…Veronica Mars, it was crowdfunded “So I was like, clearly there’s an appetite for people to want to see additions to the series that, you know, they hold dear. And our fans, Chucksters are, I almost use an expletive, our fans are fucking great, diehard people. And I know they are there. I know they would support it. It’s just a matter of figuring out how to cut it. Warner Bros. owns the rights. They’re in initial talks with heads there to be like, ‘Hey guys, you know, now I’m your, your superhero on your Warner Bros movies. Let me, let me use that goodwill and let me go do this.’ Because I think, uh, look, I know the whole cast would be there, they’ve already said that they’re totally set on doing it. I think Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak, our creators are down, they’re down to write it and you know, get the band back together. It’s just a matter of Warner Bros. saying, “yeah, we’re short and here’s a budget and go make that movie.” Because I listen, Chuck was basically a little ’80s action movie every week anyway. So it’s not that we don’t know how to do it. We just have a little more budget in time and go make a proper film. I think it would be a lot of fun.”

As we continue to wait and see if this Spindle movie will ever happen, you can go see Levi in action as Shazam! In Shazam! Fury of the Gods, currently in theaters. Do you think Levi will ever get his Chuck movie done?
