‘American Idol’ Recap: Judges discover the top 10 candidates from the latest auditions



american idol it’s at the top of season 21 auditions and the talented singers keep coming. Mary the faith he is the first singer to audition during the March 19 episode. The 21-year-old South Carolina hairstylist sings “Whenever You Come Around” from vince gill.

Katy Perry to Mariah and tells her he’s playing it safe. Katy suggests Mariah sing “I Can’t Make You Love Me” from Bonnie Raittand Mariah Rocks. Lucas Bryan break a little “I was shivering the whole time,” says Luke. He admits that she is “on the cusp of greatness” and “has it all”. Lionel Richie he believes Mariah’s potential could take her “seriously to the end”. Katy goes so far as to say, “You’re a star. You really are.”

With a little work, Luke thinks Kayleigh is a top 10 candidate. As Lionel and Luke argue about Kayleigh, Katy tells him “no”. Luke still thinks he’s in the top 10, but Katy jokes, “If you don’t find the next gear, you’re not.”

PJAE It wasn’t easy growing up. He embarked on a weight loss journey after graduating from high school at 400 lbs. He has since lost 150 pounds and gained confidence through music. He wows the judges with his rendition of “Mirror” from Madison Ryann Ward.

“It was so beautiful, so easy, so angelic, moving, sad and painful. I felt like I was telling that story, and it was your story,” Katy says. She thinks PJAE is top 24 material and that means “play it safe now.” She’s going Hollywood!

Warren Peay is a 23-year-old appliance repairman from South Carolina ready to give his voice to the world. He wows the judges with his rendition of “To The Table” from zach williams. She receives a standing ovation from the judges.

“It was amazing,” says Luke. Lionel tells Warren that he is “going to make the top 10”. Luke believes Warren will excel in this competition. He goes to Hollywood.

Sixteen years paige ann performs “What About Us” by rose for the judges. Lionel admits that Paige didn’t show up for this performance until the second half. “I still don’t know what to do with you,” Luke says. She is young but talented. Despite some doubts, Paige goes to Hollywood.

Ofrah Cablan leads the judges to church with her powerful rendition of “Baby I Love You” from Aretha Franklin. He gets a “yes” from all the judges after the show.

Kamron Lawson take a test for american idol while working his shift at Walmart. She sings “Take On Me” by a-ha for her audition. Luke tells Kamron that he’s playing it safe. Kamron offers to play Lionel’s song “Truly”. The 21-year-old is nervous and chokes at first, but ends up showing the judges his vocal range.

Lionel is impressed that Kamron sang that song, given the difficulty of playing it. He notes that Kamron has “moments of total control,” but he wants her to work on his vocal delivery. Luke adds that Kamron has a “great falsetto” but needs it to gain some confidence. He gets a “yes” from everyone!

country singer Owen Eckhardt He is currently attending Oklahoma State University studying animal husbandry, but has always wanted to be a musician. performs zach bryan’s house “Something in the Orange”. Katy says there’s a “little Elvis Presley” there. Luke tells Owen that the performance had “a lot of things wrong, but there’s a good voice there.” The judges believe in Owen’s potential, so he leaves for Hollywood.

The final performance of the episode comes from a 22-year-old. the fire will be more. She is a stripper who lives in Oklahoma and brings her daughter to audition. Fire had a tough upbringing and ended up on Indian Child Welfare.

Sing “Talking to the Moon” from mars brown. Luke admits that he wanted Fire’s voice “to be more”. Katy adds that “there wasn’t enough fire in there.” Luke and Lionel don’t think Fire is ready, but Katy tells him “yes”. Katy doesn’t want to give up on Fire. She gets up and tells the singer they’ll be in Nashville in a month. She wants Fuego to roll again. “You deserve a second chance,” Katy tells Fire.
