Bruce Campbell Says He Would Consider Starring In A New EVIL DEAD Movie If It Was Directed By Sam Raimi

Sounds like Bruce Campbell may not be so withdrawn since evil Dead franchise as we think! Sure, she mentioned that she was done playing Ash in the live-action evil Dead projects, but no, he’s saying that he would actually consider returning to play Ash again in a new film project if Sam Raimi he also returned to directing.

During a recent interview with Fangoria, Bruce Campbell said:

“I’m going to record here! These guys don’t scare me! I’ve been working on Xena, so nothing scares me. If Sam says, “I, Sam Raimi, will direct another Evil Dead film,” then I, Bruce Campbell, will consider being a part of it. I don’t want to be Ash, cared for by other people. Sam is the meanest director I’ve ever worked with, and Ash needs some of that to shine. And I think Sam is the only director now that I won’t punch him in the face while he’s making an Evil Dead movie! I’m just saying I called Rob and Sam out, I’m not the coward they think I am; I just want the right circumstances. Because Sam, even though he did studio films, he’s still a good director! [Raimi laughs] So, I want Sam! I’ll do it for Sam.

Raimi recently said he thinks it’s a new one evil Dead film with Campbell is still possible and also that there is room for all sorts of evil Dead movie. He explained:

“That character, Mia, was great, so I was very interested. We had talked about an “Evil Dead IV” for the other branch of that universe, and were a little worried about a collision. Ash Vs Evil Dead is what he has turned into. But I always thought there was room for both. I still think there’s room for all kinds of Evil Dead movies. I don’t think they cancel each other out.

“I love working with Bruce and Rob. I like them as a producer because they are great partners, but I also like being supported by them as a director. So hopefully it’s in the cards eventually.

So with Raimi wanting to make another one evil Dead movie with Campbell, looks like it could actually happen! I would love nothing more for Raimi and Campbell to make another one evil Dead film that continues the story of Ash! I think it’s about time Raimi took that shot because the ball is in his court!
