


At South By Southwest, Music From Ireland will be supporting the transformation of St Patrick’s Day into a two day festival celebrating all things Irish. The organization will be taking part in the SXSW Music Festival on March 16 at The Velveteta Room, hosting an official showcase that will introduce Austin, Texas fans to a collection of dynamic acts hailing from the Emerald Isle. The following day, 17th March, Music From Ireland will be presenting a full Irish breakfast at the SXSW showcase at The Dead Rabbit, bringing you not one, but two chance to see the best that Ireland has to offer.
Starting things Thursday at 8pm is M(h)ol, an intersectional quintet that “challenges the male-dominated vibe of the post-punk genre,” according to the website. The group, who released their debut, gender studiesin 2022 – created quite a stir by touring Europe and supporting Shellac on the Irish tour dates. At 21:00, modern love will bring his indie-pop anthems to the stage of Sala Velveeta, delighting the audience with his heartfelt, heartfelt and honest musical artistry.
