We’ve been hearing about the next one for years now Pirates of the Caribbean film that is “in the works” at Disney. There were two projects that had been around for a while, but the female lead movie was the lead Margot Robbie he was reportedly shot down. Now they are moving forward, but things are still uncertain.
One thing manufacturer Jerry Bruckheimer he is sure of what he really wants Johnny Depp to return to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. Bruckheimer has been very vocal about this hope, while Depp has even declared in court that he won’t be returning to the role! Bruckheimer is certainly persistent.
In a recent red carpet interview with the producer at the Oscars, Bruckheimer was asked by ET what the state of the franchise was right now, and he said:
“We’re all working on it. We’ll see how it comes out. But we’re very excited. I think we’ll have a great script. And we’re getting close.”
When asked if he still hopes Depp will return, he said:
“We’ll see. I’d love to. I’d love him in the movie. That’s all I can tell you.”
I really don’t think there is anything that could be said or done to change Depp’s mind at this point, but stranger things have happened. Would you like to see him return as Captain Jack?
