So far, I’m absolutely loving this third season of The Mandalorian! The narration is just amazing! I have been blown away by every episode I watch and they keep reminding me why I love the Star Wars franchise! And this is only the beginning! There is much more to come The Mandalorian universe!

We also have Star Wars: Ahsoka AND Star Wars: Skeleton Crewthat are part of this universe, and everything will turn into something big and exciting. Dave Filoni recently talked about the narrative that happens in the timeline of the Star Wars universe and the shape it might take as it continues. He told The Wrap:
“Well, in a way, it could. It could become a climax thing and The Mandalorian could still continue. It’s not necessarily an alternative choice, is it? It’s an interesting way to think about it. I tend to think, since we worked on The Mandalorian and then wrote Ahsoka, and then Jon Watts came with Skeleton Crew, there’s a whole period of time that’s post-Return of the Jedi. And I look at that time period, which before The Force Awakens, is about 30 years. When you look at the original trilogy, that’s a much less significant amount of time those three movies take place. And so, what I like is that we’re really very slowly building an ecosystem of characters and politics and events in the post-Return of the Jedi period. And that may or may not expand in a bigger way as we add more shows and add more characters.”
He went on to discuss his storytelling process, how everyone communicates with each other, and even teased a big event, saying:
“The good thing is we’re all creatively talking together about where all these stories are going. And I love whiteboards, and I write everything on the blackboard and I have timelines. They always start over with The Phantom Menace and always get to The Rise of Skywalker. I have all these spaces in between and where everyone is doing everything, so I can look at everything and commiserate with Kathy what’s going on here, what’s going on there? It’s very funny. I think the reality of there being a big event in this time period is very real, that’s all I’d say. But yeah, if Jon wanted to keep making stories about the Mandalorian, until he’s jolted out of that titanic event, then they, I suppose, could continue. there seems to be no lack of interest in Grogu and Mando, that’s for sure.”
It’s exciting to think what all of these are Star Wars stories could lead to! But, in the meantime, I’ll be madly enjoying the projects that Filoni and Favreau are realizing. I am enjoying this ride and am bound for the long haul!
