In a purely cinematic spirit, the 95th Academy Award gala could not avoid experiencing unpleasant moments. In this sense, Hugh Grant has become the center of controversy in his own right. The British actor provoked one of the most violent situations to happen tonight. He was on the red carpet when ABC reporter Ashley Graham asked him about his time at the Oscars.
The Oscars red carpet airs through the program ‘Countdown to the Oscar’, with which the ABC creates a sort of preview in which it interviews both the candidates and the stars attending the gala, where they show off their careful looks, suits and tuxedos. They are usually friendly and relaxed interviews. So, the attitude of the protagonist of ‘Notting Hill’, who was one of the liberators of the night, was very surprising.
“What’s your favorite thing about coming to the Oscars?”Graham asked. “Well, that’s fascinating. All of humanity is here. It’s Vanity Fair.”stated the actor, doing reference to William Makepeace Thackeray’s acclaimed novel, considered one of the essential titles of English literature. However, the English book is titled “Vanity Fair” and Graham thought Grant was referring to the party which, subsequently, organizes the magazine of the same name.

“Oh yeah, it’s all about Vanity Fair. That’s where we all let our hair down and have fun.”Graham replied. It was then that Grant’s face changed. His expression grew impatient and his answers shorter and dry. “Are you excited to see someone win? Have you pinned your hopes on anyone?”the reporter asked. “No, no one in particular”Grant said.
“What are you wearing tonight?”the reporter asked, taking advantage of this one of the classic questions and which, on the other hand, was applauded when asked of a man. “Well, just my dress”Grant replied. asked Graham, since he expected the interpreter to name the company of the suit or whoever made it for him. “I don’t remember who my tailor is”he limited himself to pointing out, without mentioning his name.

“She’s beautiful and I’m a scrotum”
As the conversation seemed violent due to Grant’s attitude, Graham asked him about his participation in “Knives in the Back: The Mystery of the Glass Onion”, nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. His response was equally abrupt. “I’m barely in it, it’s only three seconds”he expressed.
You don’t have to be such an asshole, Hugh Grant. I mean, you really don’t. #AwardsOscars #Oscars

“You don’t have to be such an idiot, Hugh Grant. You literally don’t have to.”

“Hugh Grant hit on Ashley Grant. He’s giving her nothing, I don’t like him, he’s morose and overworked her.”
Oh @ashleygraham she just earned her paycheck in that interview with Hugh Grant. She was kind and persistent through her her obvious desire not to be there. Why accept an interview if you are not interested in participating? ? #Oscars

“Ashley Grant has just earned her paycheck from that interview with Hugh Grant. She was kind and persistent even though he obviously didn’t want to be in it. Why say yes to an interview if you have no interest in attending?”
The networks did not hesitate to comment on his behavior, dividing the audience. While some saw his attitude as “bare” or criticized its presence, since then “the boy doesn’t want to be there at all”; others applauded the artist, finding Graham’s questions too trivial, “a genius”they pointed out.
It’s just that this scrotum moment of and Hugh Grant with Andie MacDowell killed me! This man is charming

To finish the matter, already at the gala, Grant presented the award for Best Production Design, along with Andie MacDowell, with whom he starred in “Four Weddings and a Funeral”. It is there that she made a comment that puzzled the audience at the Dolby Theater. “We’re here for two things, first and foremost to raise awareness of the importance of using a good moisturizer. Andie has been using it for 29 years and I’ve never used one in my life. She’s still beautiful and I’m like a scrotum”she expressed, leaving her partner visibly uncomfortable.
MacDowell continued his speechhe concentrated on stage design and was tasked with delivering the gold statuette, to Christian M. Goldbeck and Ernestine Hipper, for “All Quiet Front”.
