In 2022, few would believe that a film with a long and strange title like “Everything, everywhere, all at once” would become one of the most important productions in recent years. But now, about to celebrate the Academy Awards, the film by directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert is already the film with the most awards in history.
According to information from IGN, ‘Everything everywhere all at once’ it has won 158 awards since its premiere, managing to take some of the most important awards in the history of cinema. The “Daniels” have risen to become one of the most important and talked about directors in the industry, having just achieved success with ‘Swiss Army Man’, an acclaimed comedy starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe.
With all that, ‘Everything everywhere all at once’ becomes the most awarded film of all time, even if you count the awards that usually no longer have an audience, because with all the possible awards, it adds more than 336 awards and 691 nominations throughout its entire existence. A goal that is said to be soon, but which certainly cost more effort to A24 and to all those involved.
And to put the icing on the cake, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ is preparing to win the Oscar for best film, which would consecrate it on the podium of the most important films in the history of cinema. In addition, all of its leads have been nominated for Academy Awards, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu and Ke Huy Quan.

“Everything everywhere at once” beats “Lord of the Rings”
All these prizes are served so that ‘All everywhere at the same time’ overcome ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’ AS the most awarded film in history. Peter Jackson’s tape has 101 awards, which earned him the crown at the top of the list, but now the title of “Daniels” (available on Amazon Prime Video), remained the crown.
The closing of Peter Jackson’s trilogy has recorded 337 nominations and 213 awards since its premiere and, moreover, has become one of the most Oscar-winning series in all of history. Regarded as a masterpiece within fantasy and blockbuster, ‘The Return of the King’ marked a before and after in blockbusters, which has now been surpassed.
This Sunday, March 12, is the celebration of the Oscars, where it is nominated in 11 categories, including Best Picture. For what looks like a night where fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, drama and suspense films consolidate across the industry.
