While the show has its own history, characters, and lore to explore — and has no plans to slow down or wrap up anytime soon — some may wonder if we could ever see the show’s main stars cross paths in films at any point.

One of the directors of the show, Rick Famuyiwa, who is also a writer, executive producer and played Jib Dodger in an episode of the series, was recently asked what he thought about the possibility of seeing Din Djarin and/or Grogu in a Star Wars film. He replied:

“I don’t know what the grand plan of everything is, and obviously there’s so much storytelling going on now in Star Wars. There are series and a lot of things happened in movies. So what does all of this mean in terms of how we create things and by what medium it all started to blur. So I wouldn’t be surprised, but I certainly don’t have any inside knowledge of what’s going on with this. But there is a large narrative community within Star Wars who is very active on the series side and continues to be when it comes to what might happen with the films moving forward.

Seems legit. I mean, if ET can be in a Star Wars movie, then Mando and Grogu could definitely show up! What kind of crossover would you like to see them in?
