Disney has developed a live-action/anime hybrid fantasy series for Disney+ titled Dragons of Wonderhatch, and today we get our first look at the show thanks to a behind-the-scenes featurette. The series will have a live-action story, but will also incorporate anime, which should be cool and interesting. The video teases what some of this will look like and it looks like quite an epic production!

The story focuses on Nagi, a high school girl in the real world, and Tyme, a boy who lives in another world where dragonfliers hear the cries of dragons and communicate with them.
In the video, we see some of the live footage, as well as some exciting footage from some of the action sequences filmed. It also includes some of the characters from the anime that will be in the movie, and we have some character illustrations to share with you as well.
The anime part of the series was developed by Production IG, which produced series such as Haikyuu, Psycho-Pass and FLCL.
Sena Nakajima will assume the role of Nagi, e Daiken Okudaira will play Tyme, with Yoshito Emmanuel as Nagi’s son friend, e Mackenyu Arata (One Piece, Knights of the Zodiac: Inception) as the dragon rider Akuta.
Dragons of Wonderhatch is coming to Disney+ in the winter of 2023. This show could be pretty awesome! Check out the video and character artwork below:
