SPOILERS WARNING!
*This article contains spoilers for “Scream VI”.
‘Scream VI’ has already hit theaters. The sixth chapter of the saga opens with an unprecedented difference compared to the other films: “Scream VI” concludes with a tongue-in-cheek but effective post-credits scene. Don’t read on if you don’t want to know what that hidden sequence is all about.

‘Scream VI’ knows how to handle the situation so that the audience, instead of thinking they have wasted time, outlines a slight smile praising the work and criticisms of Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, even if no one is true I mi I expected this scene to be like this short and satirical.
Mindy Meeks, played by Jasmin Savoy Brown, a character who, spoiler alert, survived two assaults by the masked killer, is in charge of putting a sarcastic end to the film: “Not all movies need a post-credits scene”begins and ends Mindy’s final sequence, which teases the current momentum of major franchises to introduce said asset to pique interest, intrigue, or create new narrative branches for future continuations.
There was much speculation about the scene’s content when it was confirmed that “Scream VI” would incorporate this Marvelian asset. Among the most popular rumors the return of Neve Campbell was contemplated (Sidney in fiction), who we remember left the production due to salary problems, or another twist, that of Stu Macher, an ally of Ghostface played by Matthew Lillard. Finally these proposals were in the category of desire for fans.
West Craven’s legacy
‘Scream VI’ is barely catching its breath and the filmmakers are already thinking about ways to continue to honor Wes Craven’s legacy, as they comment on IndiWire. There is still no official confirmation of a seventh installment. However, Bettinelli and Gillet are focused on further exploring the world originally created by Craven: “We felt a responsibility to step into Wes’ shoes, continue that legacy we didn’t want to ruin”directors comment on the extent of the liability, “We’ve seen and re-watched all the movies, especially the first one…we’re not trying to copy it but to emulate the feeling it gave us, something fundamental”.
