A few months ago it was announced that Taylor Sheridanis a crime thriller River of the Wind was getting a sequel titled Wind River: the next chapter. The film’s cast is now being finalized and that cast will be led by Jason Clark (Dark Zero Thirty), Scott Eastwood (The Outpost), AND Chaske Spencer (English) and they will act together Martin Sensmeiereprising his role from Wind River’s Chip Hanson.

River of the Wind followed veteran hunter Corey Lambert (Jeremy Renner) who has come to help rookie FBI agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) to investigate the murder of a young woman on the Wyoming Native American reservation known as Wind River.
In Wind River: The Next Chapter,”Terror has risen on the Wind River Reservation as a string of ritualistic murders remains unsolved. The FBI enlists Chip Hanson, a newly minted tracker for US Fish & Game, who becomes embroiled in a desperate and dangerous fight between the authorities, a vigilante, and the reservation he calls home.
The next film will be directed by Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) from a script written by Patrick Massetto AND John Zinman (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Gold). The film is produced by Castle Rock Entertainment and is currently in production in Calgary.
Sheridan, who wrote and directed the first film, will have nothing to do with the sequel. He has kept busy with many of his television projects.
