I have some bad news to share for HBO’s dark hitman comedy series berry, as it has been confirmed that the upcoming fourth season will be the last. But I also have some good news… the first teaser trailer has been released! She sees Barry behind bars fixing his problems.

I know berry coming to an end shouldn’t be as surprising as it is in recent actor interviews Anthony Corrigan AND Henry Winkler they alluded that Season 4 would be their last.
Bill Hader he said in a statement, “It’s been an amazing journey making this show, and it’s bittersweet that the story has come to its natural conclusion.”
Amy Gravitt, HBO/HBO Max Executive VP Comedy added, “After three masterful seasons of berry, we can’t wait for viewers to see the powerful, complex and hilarious conclusion to Barry Berkman’s story. It was a pleasure to work with this immensely talented team including Bill Hader, Alec Berg, Aida Rodgers and the entire outstanding cast and crew.
This is such a great show, following Barry (Hader), a low-level hitman who is disillusioned at the thought of taking down yet another “mark.” Depressed, he is looking for a way out. When the Midwest reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to perform a heist on an actor who is sleeping with a mobster’s wife, Barry is unaware that the City of Angels could be his sanctuary. He follows his is directed to a acting class and ends up immediately drawn to the community of aspiring hopefuls, especially dedicated student Sally, who becomes the object of his affection. While Barry wants to start a new life as an actor, his handler, Fuches, has other ideas, and the hitman’s criminal past won’t allow him to leave so easily.
In Season 3, “desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry is attempting to extricate himself from the world of contract killings and fully immerse himself in acting. But going out is messy. While Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that drove him towards violence, he soon discovers that they weren’t the only forces at play.
It’s sad to learn that berry it’s coming to an end, but at least the creative team got to tell a great story! It will be interesting to see how things play out for him. I guess it won’t work in the best way. I’m not convinced Barry will find his happy ending, but we’ll see.
Season 4 will premiere on April 16 and will consist of eight episodes. Watch the teaser below and tell us what you think!
