Silo is the story of “the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly outside world. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built, and anyone who tries to find out will face fatal consequences.”
The series is the protagonist Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette, “an engineer, looking for answers to the murder of a loved one and stumbles upon a mystery that goes much deeper than she could ever have imagined, leading her to discover that if lies don’t kill you, the truth will.” The truths she uncovers promise to be shocking.
The series was created and written by Graham Yost (Band of brothers, justified), who also serves as showrunner. Silo’s ensemble cast also includes Common (The Who), Harriet Walter (Succession), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson), Avi Nash (Walking Dead), David Eyelowo (Selma), Rashida Jones (Parks and Amusement) AND Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption).
Silo looks like a great and thrilling series, and will premiere on Friday, March 5 on Apple TV+.
