‘I do want…or not’ exclusive trailer: Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey consider their future as a couple

Michael Jacobs, creator of iconic series such as ‘Dinosaurs’ or ‘Me and the world’, launches with his first feature film, ‘Yes, I want… or not’, a romantic comedy with many familiar faces which already has a release date set for April 21 and an official trailer, which we bring to you exclusively.

Michelle (Emma Roberts) and Allen (Luke Bracey) have reached a delicate point in their relationship: they must decide what their next steps are. Michelle would like to get married, but Allen isn’t so sure. “What will happen when the day comes when we will not remember the good that we have given each other?”he doubts. She gives him an ultimatum: “You have one day to convince me we’re going somewhere”.

Both decide it’s time for their respective parents to meet, so they can give them advice and an example of how a lasting marriage works. However, the young people do not know that both his parents (Diane Keaton and Richard Gere) and his (Susan Sarandon and William H. Macy) hide secrets and know each other more than they think, and have also had a past (and not so past) together. And more importantly: they have very different views on what love is, commitment and what really matters.

romantic meetings

The cast of ‘Yes, I want… or not’ is already well known in the field of romantic comedies, where marriages, love affairs and family reunions reign. In 2020 we first saw Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey as a couple in the Netflix production ‘Calendar Love’, united by their hatred for the holidays. For their part, the rest of the cast follows the same line: the last time Diane Keaton and Susan Sarandon coincided in a film was ten years ago in ‘The Big Wedding’, where Robert De Niro divorced Keaton and has started dating Sarandon, his best friend. If we go back even further, almost twenty years ago, we can see Sarandon and Richard Gere as a married couple in ‘Shall We Dance?’. This makes one thing clear to us: the actors and actresses have a lot of experience playing similar roles, so we know what to expect when we see them in ‘I do… or not’ exclusively on the big screen from April 21st from the hand of Beta Fiction.
