For nearly a decade, The CW television network has been dedicated to bringing its superhero multiverse to the television screen with all the series that were part of the Arrowverse, co-created by Marc Guggenheimwho confessed to being disappointed and upset with the new direction the company is taking as he was not required to be a part of the plans.

It’s no secret that the DC Studios franchise has never managed to be as successful as Marvel, either in film or television, yet for 9 years the superhero series have won the hearts of the public and captivated audiences with their crossover, but now that ‘The Flash’ is coming to an end, the era of arrowverse it will have come to an end.

In a newsletter, Arrowverse co-creator Marc Guggenheim expressed his annoyance at the situation of not being called upon to connect the story of the superhero series with the new construction of the DC Universe that James Gunn and Peter Safran, the current directors of this film, series and video game company, have prepared.

A small acknowledgment of what I’ve tried to contribute to the great tapestry that is the DC Universe. After all, I only spent nine years working hard in that vineyard,” explains Marc Guggenheim.

In this statement, Guggenheim assures that “Although working for DC has been creatively rewarding, it has involved many adversities, challenges and personal sacrifices, none of which seem to have led to any professional advantage”, clarifying that he is disappointed with the work done in years that after almost a decade they will be forgotten.

Simply put, the Arrowverse hasn’t taken me to any other concerts, so it seems, at least on a professional level, that it really wasted my time,” says the co-creator.
