In the original, Swayze plays Dalton, nightclub bouncer who is hired to bring order to the Double Deuce, the loudest and most troublesome bar south of the Mason-Dixon line (demarcation that separates the North American states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and West Virginia). That may not sound like much, but said bully is more than capable and soon brings order by lashing out at those looking for trouble. until the joint is transformed into one of the busiest crossing points. Things get complicated when Dalton falls for Dr. Clay (Kelly Lynch), a romantic affair that puts him in the crosshairs of ruthless local bigwig Brad Wesley (Ben Gazzara).
