The cast has been set for a fun new heist comedy film project titled Stealing Pulp Fiction. The film will star Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Shit David (The Umbrella Academy), Jon Rudnitsky (SNL), Karan Soni (Dead Pool), Oliver Cooper (Red oaks), AND Taylor Hill (Babylon).
The film is directed by the writer and director Danny Turkiewiczwhich is making its directorial debut, and has already wrapped production in Los Angeles.
The film is said to be a love letter to Quentin Tarantino’s classic film and to cinematic history as a whole. It is based on a short film directed by Turkiewicz, which follows “friends Jonathan (Rudnitsky), Elizabeth (David) and Steve (Soni) as they attempt to steal Tarantino’s personal 35mm copy of Pulp Fiction. Along the way, their wacky therapist, Dr. Mendelbaum (Alexander), gets caught up in the heist, adding humor and unexpected twists to the story.
Producer Ben Shields Catlin (Sam & Kate, Untold) said in a statement: “Danny is a devoted lover of one-of-a-kind personalities, old-school cinema and comedy. He put all three into his own creative mixer and created something completely original. We can’t wait to surprise people with his sense of humor and his very unique cinematic style.”
Turkiewicz added, “It has been an absolute joy to direct this film with such a talented and dedicated cast and crew. The atmosphere on set was infectious and there wasn’t a day we didn’t laugh and have a great time. I’m incredibly proud of the work we did on set and can’t wait for audiences to experience the humor and heart our cast brought to the screen.”
It looks like this movie will provide some funny laughs and great entertainment. Can’t wait to watch it!
