20 Questions on Deadline Podcast: ‘The Banshees Of Inisherin’ Star Kerry Condon

My guest this week is Kerry Condon.

Taken during this special episode for an article in our AwardsLine magazine entitled On My Screen, The Oscar-nominated Star by The Banshees by Inisherin recalls some career highlights and the best advice she ever received. Plus, she gets into the movies that make her cry, and why the acting life isn’t always just Brad Pitt…

With Martin McDonagh The Banshees by InisherinCondon plays Siobhán, the sister of Colin Farrell’s Padraic. As Padraic is suddenly rejected by his best friend Colm (Brendan Gleeson), Siobhán despairs of their remote village life. Gently abandoning her suitor Dominic (Barry Keoghan), saying of men, “You’re all boring,” Siobhán becomes both the voice of reason and the mother of the rediscovery story.

During this conversation, Condon also reveals an anecdote about Marlon Brando, receiving his stuff from Nick Nolte, why being willing to make a fool of yourself is a cornerstone of acting, and how she became a published film critic at the age of 10.
