Without a doubt, “The Last of Us” is one of the series of the year. The first season of the series by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin is garnering a large audience and better reviews. Just a month ago we heard the news that the series has been renewed by HBO Max, now, chatting with Collider, the eldest of the star couple, Pedro Pascal, fuels the rumor that season 2 could be ready much sooner than we expect.

“Do you think there’s any chance of shooting season 2 this year?”asks the reporter “In 2023? What station are we at now? Are we entering spring right?”says Pascal trying to omit a statement that finally arrives: “Yes, there is a possibility that this is the case”. And that still hasn’t even finished issuing the first one.
The first part of the story, like in the video game, will end with the first season, or what is the same, the first season covers all of ‘The Last of Us: Part I’, so it can be expected that the second installment brings the story of the second video game, but it is not its entirety. As Mazin says in another interview for Collider: “Probably the amount of story in the second part of the game would take more than one season to develop”anticipates the showrunner of the series by providing several seasons, in addition to the second confirmed.
The end of the first stage
Starting Monday, April 13, it’s going to be an uphill start to the week for ‘The Last of Us’ fans, Well, the journey we started on January 15th is coming to an end. coinciding with one of the events of the year for all cinephilia: the Oscars.
The American Academy will hand out its gold statuettes at the same time that Joel and Ellie embark on their final adventure in this first season, as it appears HBO won’t switch up its broadcast like it did with episode five to avoid coinciding with the NFL Finals, which attracted a whopping 110 million viewers. The fact that makes the difference between the change of plans with the Super Bowl and indifference to the Oscars is the audience. While the American football final brings together more than one hundred million people, the great cinema gala barely reached 16 and a half million in the last edition, a number that continues to decrease year after year.
