I was wondering when we could meet Simu LiuIt’s Shang-Chi in the MCU again. We could really use some great martial arts fighting again! I actually really enjoyed it Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I couldn’t wait to see the story continue and I’m excited to see how Shang-Chi’s MCU arc plays out.
As for when we’ll see Shang-Chi again… your guess is as good as mine. But, according to Him, the character could return sooner than we think. Last week at the Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences Sci-Tech Awards, Liu teased in an interview with People that there could be another superhero team with his character saying:
“I’m a huge fan of both the characters and the performers who play them, so any collaboration is an opportunity for me to work alongside someone who is, in their own way, breaking barriers and at the top of their game. I think that’s what excites me the most as an artist, [and] even as a fan. And who knows, they might be seeing something sooner than you think. We will see.”
He obviously won’t reveal any details because Marvel Studios doesn’t look kindly on him, but it’s a fun little tease that we might see Shang-Chi again at some point in Phase 5. If so, what movie do you think he’ll show? In the?
